A$AP Rocky stopped By DJ Drama‘s show, the emcee and deejay had fashion on their minds. During the conversation, A$AP Rocky clarified earlier comments, acknowledging that he hates the way Lil Wayne dresses, he also went on to add that while Kanye West inspires him, you can’t tell him that he doesn’t inspire Kanye.
Rocky:
“I hate the way Lil Wayne dresses sometimes,” Rocky said. “The lime green Ugg boot thing? I didn’t like that but that’s his style. There’s people who probably hate the way I dress – not a lot – but a few people might hate the way I dress. That’s my style. At the end of the day, I’m not judging. They asked me my opinion, how I felt, and all I gave them was my feedback. He’s got way more money than me, way more successful so I can’t say nothing bad about him.”
He continued with fashion, saying that the inspiration between Kanye West and him has to be mutual.
Rocky:
“Kanye inspires me. There’s no way in hell you could tell me that I don’t inspire Kanye. Everybody, as an artist, could look at it as competition but it’s just clothes.”

After Lil Wayne released his latest mixtape Dedication 4 with DJ Drama, the rapper faced criticism from some members of the Hip Hop community. During an interview with Power 105′s The Breakfast Club, DJ Drama said that he didn’t think it was “lackluster” and that he’s facing criticism based on the evolution of the game.
Drama:
“I thought it was good. It was lackluster? What was lackluster?” he said. “I feel like where Wayne is now is where Hov was in ’06 and when Wayne came out in ’06 or was on fire, people was like ‘Hov is old and Wayne is new and the truth.’ Now, people are saying Wayne is old and this guy and this guy is new and is the truth.”
Drama said that DJ Scoob Doo was instrumental in picking the beats for the project, but that he connected Wayne and J. Cole for the track “Green Ranger.”
Drama:
Scoob Doo did a lot of the beat choices on there. Me and Cole talked and the ‘Green Ranger’ song happened through me. It almost didn’t make it, because I emailed it over and theyw as like, did you send me something from J. Cole? I was like yeah, get that done.”
He got not just one, but two Cole verses, but says that Jay-Z is the reason the second didn’t end up on the tape.
Drama:
“He actually did another one. He gave me one on a Wu-Tang ‘It’s Yourz’ beat and played it for Jay-Z and Jay was like nah, hold that. So that verse I have on my computer but he’s probably going to use that for his album. But I wasn’t in Miami a lot for this project, I did send him over a lot of beats and everything. But I think Dedication 4 was dope. Truth be told, when Dedication 3 came out, a lot of peopele dissed that, ‘There are too many other artists on there’ and they wound up being Nicki Minaj, Drake and Tyga.”
