Dj Drama went on 106 & Park yesterday and promoted his brand new album, Quality Street Music. BET’s new Host Bow Wow asked Drama about his favorite tracks off the album and about the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

This past week at BET Hip-Hop awards, BET made Joe Budden a journalist and gave him the responsibility to interview some of the stars attending.
Joe bumped into the following:
RZA, Future, Miguel, Kevin McCall, Wiz Khalifa, Mystikal, Meek Mill, Red Cafe, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Stalley, Murda Mook, French Montana, Driicky Graham, Kirko Bangz, Juicy J, Diggy, Q-Tip, Uncle Murda, Busta Rhymes, T.I., Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock. The show airs on October 9th.

Appearing on the red carpet for the annual BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, A Tribe Called Quest member Q-Tip was questioned by MrPeterParker.com about the artists he’s currently feeling in Hip Hop and went on to rattle down an interesting array of talent.
Q-Tip:
“I really dig Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, my boy Chainz. It’s a lot of emcee’s though actually that I like. I like people like Murda Mook, Iron Solomon, Loaded Lux, Aye Verb…I like a lot of those guys,” Q-Tip divulged.
Tip also shared his thoughts on the status of Hip Hop, revealing that he believes it’s currently in a great place and is beginning to reflect the socio-political climate.
Q-Tip:
“I feel like it’s in a great place right now. I feel like we’re starting to refocus and retool,” the rapper explained. “I feel like it’s coinciding with what’s happening socio-politically.”
Q-Tip’s who was not featured on Cruel Summer, revealed that there may possibly be a G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Winter album in the works.

The on going feud with Rick Ross and Young Jeezy recently developed into an altercation at the BET Hip Hop Awards. There, both camps (MMG & CTE) were involved in an incident that allegedly included gunshots and arrests. While Wale didn’t seem to be involved, he was recently asked to speak about the confrontation by Bootleg Kev due to his alliance with Ross’ Maybach Music Group.
Wale explained that he attended the red carpet for the award show but that he had to leave to perform elsewhere so he was not present for the brawl.
Wale:
“I heard about it,” he explained. “I didn’t know what was true. Everything was happening so fast, I didn’t know what was going on… I wasn’t nowhere near the whole situation…I really can’t call and say what happened or what should have happened. It’s unfortunate, to say the least.”
He also shared that he had no real indication that a feud existed between the camps.
Wale:
“That ain’t something that we sit around and talk about, our relationships with other artists,” he said. “We never really talk about nobody but ourselves amongst ourselves. So nobody really knew how deep anything was or how deep nothing is. So, I’m assuming this is something that was just blown out of proportion, for the most part.”

Pusha T talks about hearing Ghostface Killah‘s verse on the album cut of “New God Flow”. He went on saying he didn’t know that Ghostface was on the track until the album was completed and that he “fainted” when he heard the Wu legend’s verse.

Two of Def Jam Records’ biggest artists fought last night at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards, according to HOT 97′s Funkmaster Flex. Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, along with Maybach Music and CTE entourages first exchanged words, before things got physical, according to eye-witness Funk Master Flex. “Pushing and shoving” is what the veteran deejay reported on Twitter, before the fight escalated.
The backstage tussle moved to the parking lot of the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. There, gunshots were heard, and eye-witnesses reported a police arrest. Artist Machine Gun Kelly reportedly was maced.
